Easy to read projection, and accurate temperature and time.
After looking for a replacement projection alarm clock that used a red instead of blue (hard to see) projection light, I researched Amazon, and found this clock. The projection light is red on this clock, and it also doubles as a mini weather station. At first, I did not care about the weather features, but that would soon change. The entire southern part of our country had an extremely low temperature cold front move through last week. I was concerned we might have a problem with our waterlines freezing under the house. In the past when the temps got into the teens, we would leave all the faucets in the house dripping a spaghetti size stream of water to keep the pipes from freezing.I decided to place the outdoor temperature sensor in the crawl space under the house to monitor the temps, and know before the temps reached 32 degrees or lower. I wasn’t sure if this would work, but boy did it ever. The first night of the cold front the outdoor temps dropped below 32 degrees beginning late afternoon. By the time I went to bed, outdoor temps were 19 degrees, inside house temps were 67 degrees, the under the house it was 47 degrees. I figured the crawl space was still holding the heat from the day before as the temps were almost 70 degrees that day.Second night and the outdoor temps have been below freezing for over 24 hours. When I went to bed, I checked the temperature numbers. Outdoor temps were 21 degrees, inside house temps were 67 degrees, the under the house it was 43 degrees. This seemed a little strange to me. Our house is all brick, but with a crawl space instead of a basement. There are vents (open to the outside air) every 20 feet in the concrete block/brick walls. I found it hard to believe the temps were so high under the house. I figured they would be below freezing by now.Day three the outdoor temps reached 38 degrees around noon, so I decided to go under the house and place a thermometer next to the temp sensor to check the accuracy of the sensor. I checked the thermometer four hours later. The thermometer read 48 degrees, and the sensor read 48.4 degrees. Basically the same temperature. I went back inside the house and told my wife the results. Without hesitation, she says: “Sounds like the duct-work under the house is leaking heat”.The following day I crawled back under the house, and started to inspect the HVAC duct-work. Forty-five minutes later, I found the problem. Apparently (last summer) the termite inspection guy “bumped” a union of two ducts just enough to open the connection 1/8 inch on one side. Our central heat was leaking under the house. This is why the temps under the house were so much higher than the ambient temperature outside. For me, the clock paid for itself at that moment.I read some reviews that stated the clock alarms were hard to set. I did not experience this. There are two small slide switches on the back of the clock. One is the “on/off” for alarm number one, and the other is “on/off” for alarm number two. After finding these two switches, the alarms were easy to manage. All and all a nice small footprint night table projection alarm clock for a good price.

Time and Temp projector works
Ordered one. The projector only projected a few inches. I bought it mainly for the projector. Returned it and got a replacement. This one works. Projects the time and temp on the ceiling. Just installed it. It is successfully receiving the RF signal from the remote temp sensor, which is outside the bedroom window. So far I love it.

Great alarm clock with projector
Everything is great my only nit pick is that the projector only has 2 different rotations I would have preferred 4 other than that it works great also appreciate the weather forecast great price to.

very convenient and not too bright.
Easy to setup, could not get the atomic time to automatically set the time.

Buttons hard to reach, display flashes, satellite sensors don’t reach far.
I like the idea of this clock and station with the projecting time, .. in theory. However in practice, the buttons are all on the back of the display, making it hard to use and remember what is what, especially when the only way to turn off the alarm is by pressing these buttons, causing you to fumble half asleep with reaching around the back of the clock (and in my case, accidentally knocking it onto the floor while unable to find the buttons while half asleep). The display brightness is alright, and the adjustability is a nice feature, however the whole display pulses slightly brighter and darker everytime a symbol in the weather visualization section (clouds, rain, sun, .. etc) lights up or goes away, which is slightly annoying, especially in a dark room while awake, it tends to be distracting. The projector light isn’t bright enough, in my opinion, as the brightest it displays can’t be seen on the ceiling or wall in a room with blinds/curtains closed during daylight hours. On the note of the projected numbers, it would be nice if the projected numbers could be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise on the surface they are being projected onto. Due to the angle of which you have the clock positioned for viewing of the display in relation to where you’ll be projecting to (mostly pertaining to when sleeping/laying down), most of the time when the readouts are projected above on the ceiling or to the side on a wall, the numbers displayed are at an odd angle roughly around 45°~90° away from the angle of which you’re laying when looking at them. The last thing to note is that there doesn’t seem to be very good range between the base station (clock) and satellite sensor (for ‘outside’ temperatures). An example: i placed the sensor downstairs into he garage at the opposite end of a 2 bedroom 2 level house, while the base station was upstairs in a bedroom (roughly 30~40ft ‘line-of-sight’ distance), and the base station would rarely if ever (1 day every 2 weeks or more?) pick up the reading/signal from the satellite sensor. It seems the sensor has to be within about 20 ft and not pass through more than a couple standard wood walls. This is as opposed to a much cheaper weather station bought years ago, with a satellite sensor that reads flawlessly over the same distance.Other than these quirks, it seems to function decently, however I wouldn’t personally recommend others to purchase it if any of the above issues wouldn’t be acceptable.

This was a gift for my son in law to replace one from Oregon Scientific that he had for many years. It has a more colourful screen than the old one, but he is very happy with it.

Good that it has an outside thermostat – temp reader, the projector is good, but the clock face is cluttered, not the best alarm clock.

C’est très dispendieux et pas très solide ,ça reste du plastique et la base n’est pas stable ,j’aurais préfère qu’il sois plus lourd.
