Opening these up I thought they looked a little strange because each of the âPing-Pongsâ have ridges around the outside. After seeing them lit up they look great! I appreciate the soft ambient lighting that they provide to my bedroom and love that they come with a remote so I can easily turn them on or off without having to fumble around in the dark to plug them in.

Cute. Not as bright as I’d like. However that may be the batteries I put were previously used so I will replace and see. The size of these bulbs are perfect and exactly what I wanted. But the batteries died within less than an hour. Granted they were previously used but not by much. So these will require some heavy duties.Update: yes they are brighter with brand new batteries. See second photo. Just hope it doesn’t eat through them as quickly

Cute Lights!
We had been looking for lights to replace an old set that died on us, and I liked the globe design of these. The lights are definitely on the smaller side, and the light they give off is much softer than the other outdoor lights we use, but I still like these. I think they serve better as Christmas decoration lights than as outdoor replacement lights, but for this former purpose I believe they fulfill their role admirably.With the exception of some difficulty figuring out how to begin untangling the lights, they were really easy to pull a part (which is not something I can say about all lights), and I was able to put the lights up quickly right before a party we were hosting was set to begin.I have not tried the remote (not sure where it is at the moment), but I have not had to since they turn on when we plug in the outdoor lights, and this is all we really need it to do. You can also change the light options manually on the plug itself. I love that it comes with two power options, one that is connected to a battery pack that takes AA batteries, and one that allows you to plug it directly into an outlet. This versatility is much welcome.My one complaint is that I wish it turned on with the option that it was left off at. It defaults to a flickering light, and you have to cycle through various lighting options before it finally lands on the solid light (which is what we prefer). If it would turn on at the solid light option, we would love it, but instead we have to cycle through every time. It is not really a big deal, but it would be helpful to be able to plug in the lights and not have to do anything else. I suppose it would be made easier if I could find the remote.All told, I love these lights. They have added to our outdoor lighting, and bring along a bit of festive cheer, which is much needed these days. Definitely recommend.

I must admit that from the pictures I saw, I expected these globes to be larger than they are. That being said, I have not been disappointed in the least. The reason I suggest these are best for indoors is the fact that they get their power from a USB connection. If you use them outdoors, there is a battery operated option which works well, but it also uses the USB connection. As for me, I have been using them inside to add some color and light to our eating space. Yeah, we’re months away from Christmas, but these don’t scream Christmas to me – they say, “Look, lights and colors!”I’m not normally a fan of instructions, but I would encourage you to read the instructions, particularly about the different color sequences available. I don’t like flashing lights, but the slow off and on and the permanent on are great. Also, don’t make the mistake I made – when you get to the remote (nice feature, although it is a little overdone in my opinion), do not assume that you need to put a battery in there. I nearly broke the remote trying to get to the battery compartment only to find it already had a battery in it!All in all, this is one of those things that no one needs, but that makes the day a little more fun. I can’t help but grin when I turn these lights on and enjoy my dinner with a little more joy in my heart. I could see it also working well if we had a gazebo or something outside, but because of the USB and battery connection, I won’t be working this into my Christmas lights outside, because I don’t think that was the idea here – it really is for brightening up your everyday space and making the day/evening a little more special.

Timer Function doesn’t work
I’ve been using the lights for a little over a week. The timer auto on/off worked for about 3 days, and since then doesn’t work…the lights just stay on. I tried reprogramming a few times, and the lights just stay on.
