Affordable and Functional Desk Lamp
I was looking for a compact lamp for my reading corner, and I ended up choosing the Simple Designs LD1003-BLK.The design of the lamp itself is, well, quite plain, really simple. The neck is a little shorter than what I woulda liked, and an indent in the base for paper clips would’ve been nice, but otherwise it’s fine. Well built and ships with a light bulb.

Terrific lamp that is really sturdy
This lamp has hit the floor several times already bc of my cats’ traveling across the windowsills…I’d already bought one in black and am very happy with it so I got another one, only in white this time.It doesn’t even flinch when it’s bumped around and the gooseneck is tough too, and flexes easily when you need to adjust it-it stays just where you set it.I’ll no doubt but additional lamps bc they are so versatile and don’t look like they belong in a car mechanic’s garage-they are, in my eyes, very attractive pieces.

Good, but not last
bought the lamp March 2023. It worked well, but now June 2024 and died. Cha nged the bulb to be sure. Guess the on/off switch stop working, not likely the wire defective as the lamp sat on the night stand by the bed. Price great, but should last for more than a year.

This lamp is perfect for what I wanted. I wanted a lamp that just had an on/off switch, nothing else. The silver colour is pretty nice. The base of the lamp is heavy enough to make it stable. The flexible hose neck is easy to adjust.

Not too much to say about this other than it does the job and is solid for the price. The arm is pretty easy to adjust and stays in place when you adjust it, the paint/finish seems pretty consistent, and it’s lightweight. The description says the base is metal yet it feels more like plastic while the bulb area is definitely metal. The switch is easy to use and easy to feel and find in the dark.All in all, I think this is good value and is a solid choice for anyone looking for an inexpensive and basic desk lamp. I probably wouldn’t use this in an area like a family or living room where higher end looks might be a priority but for a simple home office, dorm room or bedroom, I think it is does the trick. I’m using mine for backlighting behind my TV. I spent time looking at other options on Amazon but they were all a good bit more in price. Actually kind of impressive this is only $13 given $13 barely buys you anything these days.
