Hatch 3 is a GAMECHANGER!
Iâve been using the Hatch 3 for a few weeks now, and I must say, it has completely transformed my mornings. As someone whoâs always struggled with waking up to harsh alarms, the Hatch 3 is a game-changer. The customizable sounds and soothing noise options create such a calming, peaceful atmosphere that makes waking up feel like a pleasant experience rather than a jarring event. One of the standout features for me is the wide range of soothing sounds availableâfrom gentle rain showers to soft melodies and nature sounds. Itâs amazing how something as simple as a sound can completely change the way I start my day. Iâve found myself waking up feeling more relaxed, with the gradual transition from soft sounds to more lively tones gently guiding me out of sleep. The app is another great bonus. It allows for full customization of the wake-up and wind-down routines, so I can set the tone of my day from the moment I wake up to when Iâm getting ready for bed. The soft, warm light feature is also fantastic. It mimics the sunrise, gradually brightening the room and helping to regulate my circadian rhythm.Overall, the Hatch 3 is not just a smart alarm clock; itâs an experience. Itâs incredibly easy to use, looks sleek on my nightstand, and has truly made waking up something to look forward to. If you’re tired of the usual alarm clock stress, I highly recommend the Hatch 3 for a more peaceful and enjoyable wake-up routine.

Hereâs an in-depth review for anyone debating the high price!
Donât let the subscription deter you, this alarm clock is completely usable without it. The monthly subscription is mainly for more sounds and bedtime stories, plus 2 added steps to your sleep/wake routine which are âUnwindâ and âMorning Momentâ. Iâd suggest setting up some routines while on the free version, to get the feel of it first; then get the free trial and immediately cancel it, so you donât get charged but can try it out for a month. (Keep the alarms when you cancel!) If you realize that you like the subscription version more than the free: the monthly price is $5 totaling to $60 a year, and the yearly subscription is $50.The sunrise feature is super customizable, you can have the dim lamp go very bright within 5 minutes or up to an hour. Thereâs 12 sunrises and 13 alarm sounds to choose from without a subscription. Thereâs also 28 different sleep sounds for free!Hatch claims this alarm is science-backed in lulling you to sleep but also waking you up gradually and peacefully. Listening to brown noise definitely helps me stay asleep for most of the night; whereas before, Iâd wake up numerous times every single night. Also I can for sure say that after having this clock for a few months, not once have I woken up to a jarringly loud alarm and jumped out of bed after realizing I snoozed all of my alarms, like I did with iPhone alarms. The biggest issue is that it relies on a constant WiFi/power connection. If a cell tower nearby goes down or thereâs no power, youâre stuck without an alarm clock.I got the Putty color option, itâs a lighter tan with a hint of pink. The video I included shows the Brown Noise sleep sound and the light color Evening Sun. There are instructions that come with the clock that tell you where to touch for adjusting the volume and light, how the two Rest/Rise buttons at the top work, and how to set up the clock within the app. It took about 10 minutes for my clock to connect and register/update, so donât be worried if it takes awhile. Upon opening this alarm clock, Iâd recommend placing the box upright and pulling the top of the box off, so the clock stays in the bottom of the box and doesnât fall out.Not only is this an aesthetic clock, but itâs also a sound machine, an alarm, and a curated sunrise. The ability to have a different alarm schedule is a huge bonus as well, especially if you have a differing morning routine depending on the day. Honestly, the price could definitely be lower, but I believe itâs just about worth it over other options.

My Hatch Restore 3 Review â A Game-Changer for Sleep and Mornings! â â â â â
Iâve been using the Hatch Restore 3 for a few weeks now, and I can honestly say itâs one of the best purchases Iâve made in a long time. I was hesitant at first because of the price ($169.99 isnât cheap!), but after seeing it all over TikTok and reading some glowing reviews, I decided to take the plunge. Let me tell you, itâs worth every single penny. This isnât just an alarm clockâitâs like a sleep coach, a sound machine, and a sunrise simulator all rolled into one sleek, stylish package. Iâm obsessed, and Iâm giving it a well-deserved 5 stars!First off, letâs talk about the design. I got mine in the Putty color, and it looks so chic on my nightstand. Itâs got this minimalist, half-moon shape that doesnât scream âgadgetâ but still feels modern and high-quality. The materials feel premium, and itâs not bulky at allâit fits perfectly next to my lamp and books without crowding the space. The dimmable clock display on the front is a nice touch, too. I snapped a quick photo of it in clock mode (attached below), and you can see how clean and simple it looks. I love that I can adjust the brightness so itâs not glaring at me in the middle of the night.Setting it up was super easy. You download the Hatch Sleep app, connect it to your Wi-Fi, and answer a few questions about your sleep habits. The app then suggests routines tailored to youâI got âThe Sweet Dreamerâ persona, which felt spot-on. It took maybe 15 minutes total, and I was ready to go. The app is so intuitive, and I love that I can control everything from my phone, though the new physical buttons on the Restore 3 make it even better. That âBig Buttonâ on top? Genius. I can start my routine, adjust the volume, or snooze the alarm without fumbling for my phone in the dark. The side buttons for the bedside light and alarm toggle are clutch, tooâno more accidentally blinding myself with my phone screen at 2 a.m.!The wind-down features are where this thing really shines. Iâve always struggled to unplug at night (scrolling Instagram until midnight is my weakness), but the Restore 3 has totally changed my routine. My favorite sound is âLight Rainââitâs so soothing, and it makes me feel like Iâm in a cozy cabin somewhere instead of my city apartment. I pair it with a soft orange light, and itâs like an instant signal to my brain that itâs time to relax. Thereâs a huge library of optionsâocean waves, meditations, even bedtime stories! I donât have the Hatch+ subscription yet (itâs $5/month after the free trial), but even the free content is impressive. Iâm tempted to upgrade just for the extra podcasts and soundscapes. Then thereâs the sunrise alarm. Oh my goodness, this is a game-changer. I used to wake up to my phoneâs blaring alarm and feel groggy for hours, but now I wake up to a gentle, warm light that gradually brightens my room. I set it to start 30 minutes before my alarm, and by the time the birds chirping sound kicks in, Iâm already half-awake and feeling refreshed. Itâs not harsh or jarring at allâitâs like the sun is personally waking me up. Iâve noticed Iâm hitting snooze way less, which is a miracle for someone like me who used to slap that button five times every morning. The sound quality is fantastic, too. The speaker is clear and crisp, whether Iâm playing white noise or a guided meditation. Itâs not tinny like some cheap sound machines Iâve tried in the past. And the light options? So fun! You can pick from all these dynamic colorsâpink, blue, purpleâor stick with a solid glow. Iâve been using it as a reading light some nights, and itâs perfect for winding down with a book instead of staring at a screen.Iâll admit, I was skeptical about whether this would actually improve my sleep, but itâs exceeded all my expectations. I fall asleep faster, sleep more soundly, and wake up feeling energized instead of grumpy. My wife even commented that I seem less stressed in the mornings, which is a huge win. Itâs not wireless (you need to plug it in), but the cord is long enough that it hasnât been an issue for me.If youâre on the fence about the Hatch Restore 3, just go for it. Itâs an investment in your sleep and sanity, and it delivers on every promise. Iâve already recommended it to all my friends, and Iâm thinking about getting one for my mom as a gift. Itâs that good. Check out my photo below of it in clock modeâitâs simple but so effective. I canât imagine going back to a regular alarm clock after this!

Beware! You have to use an adapter to plug in and power up in the UK. Really annoying! Given the cost of the item Iâm amazed it didnât come with the right plug or an adaptor. Sloppy.
Adrian –
Im astounded that a device sold in the uk doesnât come with a uk adapter!! How is it supposed to work. Surely a customer shouldnât have to pay £185 for a clock then have to spend more money for an adapter.
Jorge –
Cumple su propósito como despertador? Si. Para pagar más de 200 USD? No. Un producto tan caro no puede tener un problema con que los números se encimen en ciertas combinaciones. Escribà a Soporte Técnico. Nadie se molestó en responder.
Sunny R –
Letâs be real: the Hatch Restore 2 is pricey. This sunrise alarm clock costs more than my first car (granted, that car didnât start half the time, but still). That said, waking up to a gentle sunrise simulation instead of my soul-crushing phone alarm? Worth it. Pair that with the sound machine that makes it feel like Iâm falling asleep in a tranquil forest instead of my apartment next to a screaming toddler? Chefâs kiss.Sure, itâs expensive. But if youâre tired of waking up like youâre being catapulted out of bed by an air raid siren, this little gadget might just be worth skipping a few takeout orders. Plus, every morning, it softly whispers: âYou spent a small fortune on meâget up!â Motivational and overpriced. Classic.
Fritheswith –
Whilst some features are locked behind a subscription (disappointing when the initial outlay is pricey), thereâs enough functionality to be good without the subscription. Thereâs a good range of different sunrises & sunsets to choose from, the light can be used on its own as a reading light or mood lighting. The sound quality is good enough for the standard alarms. Easy to use via the app. Waking up to a light room in the dark winter days really makes a difference to how I feel.
