Customers say
Customers like the ease of use, cute design, and gift value of the plant seeds. They mention the instructions are straightforward and fun to set up. Some are also happy with the kit contents. However, some customers have reported that the seeds don’t take, the value for money is not worth the price, and mold growth is a problem. Opinions are mixed on the quality.

Cute indoor garden
The detailed list of how to care for each individual herb was very helpful! The cute little potato sacks make for a lovely addition to any small home windowsill garden

Nice gift
I got this for a friend for her birthday and she loves it. She puts the little herbs in different recipe. She makes.

AWFUL! Grows mold!
I started these exactly as the directions stated, allowing seeds to soak, expanding the discs, etc. The only thing that has grown is mold. At first I thought that the water made the print run, but upon closer inspection, the dark spots were all around the “pots” and not just where the print was.It is mold. These “pots” are nothing more than burlap bags lined with plastic. I belive there were holes in the bags because the burlap started soaking as I was adding the moist soil and there wasn’t THAT much water! They will also wick whatever overwater there is if you have them in any type of drip tray. The odd part was that the mold was not visible at the bottom first, so you can’t even argue that they were in standing water. The seeds themselves never sprouted or germinated.Very disappointed.PLEASE – Read the negative reviews and WHY they are negative!Save your money and go buy small starter potted herbs and just let them rejuvenate from there!

Nice Kit, But Not All Herbs Grew
I was really excited to try the 9 Herb Indoor Window Garden Kit since I love the idea of growing my own herbs indoors, but unfortunately, not all of them grew as I had hoped. Out of the 9 seeds, only about 6 of them sprouted and grew well. The other 3 didnât seem to take, even though I followed the instructions and kept them watered. What I Liked:The kit itself is well put together and easy to use, especially for someone like me whoâs not an experienced gardener. The instructions were straightforward, and the little pots are the perfect size for a windowsill. The herbs that did grow, like basil and cilantro, are doing great and have already been used in a few dishes, which is awesome! What Didn’t Work:Unfortunately, a few of the herbs just didnât sprout. Iâm not sure if it was something I did wrong with watering or light, but no matter how much care I gave them, they just didnât grow. It was a bit disappointing, but Iâll try again and see if they come up with a second round.Final Thoughts:Overall, itâs a fun kit to have, especially if you want to grow your own herbs indoors. Just be prepared that not all of them may sprout on the first try. I still think itâs worth a shot, and Iâm happy with the ones that did grow!

Fun Project
This was a gift for my 75-year old friend who lives 2000 miles away from me. She is recently widowed and isn’t really into hobbies, but she likes to grow flowers. It’s too HOT outside right now to garden, but as her Granddaughter is very much into cooking, I thought this would be a great project for the two of them and would have fringe benefits, i.e. fresh herbs for cooking! They said it was fun to set up. Now we wait to see how well their garden grows!

Value…ya get what ya pay for..
Product was somewhat mediocre to say the least I guess. I feel all of the seeds were past their due date. The seeds that “survived” took forever to grow. All the others were dead. Nothing from them for about 6-8 weeks. After that my mom threw em out. Absolutely waste of time and money. All that sprouted died a week later. And they were very well taken care of. In the end though, the experience was nice in a way.

Bad quality seeds and soil
I have grown herbs from seed in the past and have been successful. I believe this compact soil that is provided in the kit is not suitable for growing herbs – it easily molds and although some herbs sprouted, they did not grow well. (I am assuming it is because the soil is nutrient deficient)I am giving this two stars instead of one because the packaging is cute, booklet guide is helpful, so maybe I can try again with new soil.
Itâs good! –
I found the manual to be very informative on how to plant. However, some types of herbs came with very few seeds (some didn’t come with the amount they said to plant) and unfortunately some didn’t end up germinating. However, this last point may be something we did wrong, but overall we enjoyed the experience.

It really does come with absolutely everything you need. The soil didn’t require as much water as it suggested, but if you follow the instruction manual you will know when it reaches the right soil consistency. I would guess that it comes with enough seeds for 2 rounds of planting. This is really a great way to introduce fresh spices into your kitchen.

This is not worth buying. The seeds never sprouted. Followed instructions to a âTâ.Mustard & Dill came up, the only ones I wasnât interested in!I feel they should refund me but not worth the hastle trying to get one!
Zora –
It looks cute but I think all the seeds were duds. I Followed the instructions exactly but nothing grew. I’m guessing the seeds were old. Plant bags are cute.
