Underside is the waterproof material is the bottom layer with soft knit type material on top. It’s not a noisey protector. You won’t notice it under your sheets.If you have an older dog that has bladder issues, this would be good to put over their dog bed too.Regular price $39.99 per the listing seems a bit high to me. Maybe watch for a sale/coupon, browse listings. I have another matress protector that the top of it is a very short soft like terry cloth that I like better.As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

This is a nice quality mattress protector. It washed fine and fits a regular twin bed. Thereâs no noise even though the other side is a plastic waterproof material. Current price point seems high, $24.99 seems comparable.
