Not cheap, but well designed with nice features.
I liked the design of the clock — very elegant and simple. The three levels of illumination of the clock face are nice, and it is very easy to read from a distance. The continuous projection of the time on the ceiling or wall (with four 90-degree rotations) is particularly nice for someone who likes to know what time it is when you wake up in the middle of the night and don’t want to roll over to look at the clock, or press a button on the clock. It is small and the controls on the back are small, but easy once you know how it operates.

Small footprint. Perfect for a small bedside table.
I hate the big clock/radio bedside projection clocks. This one is perfect. The projection is clear. The clock has adjustable backlight. I wish it would go even one lower though. In the night it seems bright and I prefer my room to be as dark as possible.

Did the job, was what we wanted but a little underwhelmed
I guess I thought it had a subtle green as a display option, it’s really just the reverse LCD with no backlighting. So, the light green shown will be visible in good light only, otherwise it’s a backlight light blue. If it’s in non-lit mode, you can just tap it for it to temporarily light up or look at the projection, of course. Unlike a cheaper clock I had, the projection needs no focusing and it’s very bright, although you can’t change the level of brightness.I guess the clock was a little underwhelming – it’s small and lightweight. Don’t get me wrong, I like it, it just doesn’t feel like $60+.

A little pricey but worth it
I have purchased several cheaper brands of these projection clocks which have eventually quit working. This seems to be made with better quality. I’ve only had it for a year, but I trust that it will continue working many years like my Braun food processor.

Not what I expected from Braun
Let me be clear. This does what it says. The projection works well and it obviously keeps time. Settings are easy to work with and overall, it works. But, there are some pain points.1. The unit is very thin and lightweight which means it gets pushed around easily on your tabletop. And when you need to have this thing positioned perfectly so that the projection is right overhead in your bed, that’s not ideal. I had to use a Command strip to make it stay in place.2. The dimmest brightness on the unit is not dim. I don’t think of myself as overly sensitive to light at night, but I had to basically turn the display off so that it wouldn’t disturb me. Basically, just leaving me with the projection. I have thought to buy some window tint film to try and make it work better, but haven’t gotten there yet.3. In order to display the time on the unit when the display is in the off position you have to tap the top of it, which is nice to be able to quickly see the time, but back to my first point, the unit likes to wobble/tip when you hit that button, so it makes me not want to use that feature.

OMG– it keeps perfect time
I have been dealing with a bedside clock that progressively lost 1-2 minutes a week. After a while I got tired of adding time in my head and looked for a clock that was going to fulfill it’s purpose– which is to actually keep good time! This one does that. I like the blue numbers on the clock but the red numbers on the ceiling is a little weird– wish they were another color– but the red really does show up. Plus when I check the clock with my phone– it has been keeping perfect time for a week. If you want a clock that doesn’t loose time randomly, get this.

Nice clean design. Small projected numbers.
Full Disclosure: Received item at no cost with Amazon VineI have been using projection clocks since my father first bought one in the late 1960’s. I always have one at my bedside, and I travel with one as well. I even have one for 220v countries, and one for 110 volt countries. (For some reason, the manufacturers, including this Braun, do not include a dual voltage power pod.)For probably the last 30 years I have been using mostly Oregon Scientific models, and for the most part they have been goodâsome better than others.I like this Braun as it has a very minimalist design. It looks very clean by the bedside. There are not a lot of other functions, like temperature, time zones, and radio time setting (which I have never found to work where I lived in either Seattle area or San Diego.). But I just want a clock so when I wake up in the middle of the night, I can just look to the ceiling to see the time. I do not care about the other functions; my iPhone takes care of all those, and is a much more versatile alarm. The projected numbers are small, but still quite readable projecting from a standard night stand to an 8 foot ceiling. The projection arm tilts to be able to project in front or in back of the clock. You can rotate the projections in 90 degree increments with a small button on the back of the projection arm. My only complaint is that the rotation is not continuous in order to accommodate the rotation you have to set the clock at (compared to your bed) in order to project the image far enough forward to be able to easily see it if your head is on a pillow. i.e. you have to angle the clock face slightly toward your feet and tilt the arm down to put the projected image at a comfortable location over your bed. But then the digits are slightly off angle, as they are always 90 degrees to the clock itself. So one star off for that, although it is not a big deal. All in all, I like it, and it is reasonably priced.

There are a lot of good reasons to give this product a deserving 5 stars – but I do not want to talk about them as they are not going to be hurting anyone. As I said, I would have given this product 5 star rating but did not – here follows the reasons.1. It was supplied with US 110V adaptor – how am I supposed to use in Australia? (I found a step down transformer)2. You cannot have a replacement DC adaptor – as it is 3.6V DC very hard to find3. There is no dimmer or brightening feature available for the projector.
