Very good lamp for an office desk
There is much to like about this desk lamp. I appreciate the wide light, which allows me to better see both my computer keyboard and any written notes or documents I am working on. The lamp is easy to adjust between the three main settings: the first is a yellowish glow (which can serve as a nightlight), a soft white light and natural daylight, my preferred setting. There is also a slider which can be adjusted with a finger from low to high brightness. They are not marked but there seem to be five “stops” on the slider.Don’t be confused by the Amazon description which refers to colors: these are only the three color temperatures and five brightness levels — I mentioned. Don’t expect reds, blues or other colors of the spectrum. The base of the light is large and circular, so it will take up precious room on a small desk. The lamp comes mostly assembled, with only the need to connect the shaft of the lamp to the base. I have seen some lamps of this type to be rechargeable. I much prefer that this lamp must be plugged into a wall socket with the AC adapter included.There is a timer with only one setting, 45 minutes, which is good for using the lamp as a night light. There does not seem to be a way to replace the built in light source, however. Overall I am happy with this light for my uses in my home office.
