Time at a Glance: My New Travel Essential
Finding a compact travel clock that doesn’t compromise on functionality is a tall order, but my search ended with this little gem. Its standout feature, the ceiling projection, is a game-changer for someone like me who often struggles to read the time at night without reaching for glasses. This clock projects the time clearly and brightly onto the ceiling, allowing me to glance up and know the time instantly – a small luxury, but a significant one when you’re groggy at 3 AM in a hotel room. The clockâs design is sleek and modern, fitting effortlessly into my travel bag without taking up much space. What really sets it apart is its dual power functionality. At home, it sits plugged in beside my bed, its projection a constant nighttime companion. On the road, even though the projection needs the clock to be plugged in, its battery option ensures I’m never late for a meeting, even when thereâs no outlet handy. What I especially appreciate is how this clock blends into my routine. It’s not just another gadget; it’s a thoughtfully designed tool that understands the needs of a traveler. The adjustable brightness and focus of the projection mean I can tailor it to different hotel rooms, always ensuring the perfect visibility. And while it might not have the bells and whistles of my larger Sony projection clock radio back home, its simplicity and efficiency are exactly what I need when I’m away.Traveling can often disrupt your daily rhythm, but this clock has become a constant in my journeys. It’s the kind of product that, once you start using it, you wonder how you ever managed without it. For anyone who values functionality and portability, this travel clock is a must-have.

Great projection clock for travel
I have a projection alarm clock in my bedroom at home. Once you get used to one of these, it’s hard to go back to a “regular” alarm clock.I travel quite a bit, and more and more hotels either don’t have a clock in the room at all, or the one they do have is off time-wise and it takes a degree in nuclear science to figure out how to properly set it to the correct time. Yes, you can use your cell phone as a clock, but that can be cumbersome and I’m never all that confident it’s going to sound the alarm I set as I am expecting it to.This little clock travels easily. It folds down to a very small, compact size. It holds batteries to keep the time going after it’s unplugged.Yes, you do need to have a USB cord hooked up to a power source to use the projection feature. I travel with a very long cord for this purpose and have never had a problem keeping the time projected on the ceiling.I have always found a way to position it so I can easily see the time from my bed when I wake up during sleep, which is much better than reaching over for my phone! The projected time can be adjusted to various orientations so you can see it from different angles. The clock itself also has a dimming feature, and you can set it so that it produces a very low, but readable light during the night. It comes with instructions, but setting the time and setting the alarm are intuitive, fairly simple procedures, which is important for me because I regularly travel to different time zones. It’s also nice that it has a “pass-through” USB port, so with two cables (one for powering it as mentioned above), you can also charge your cell phone through it. I keep a shorter cord on hand for that purpose.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I do recommend this as a travel projection clock. If things change as I use it more I will update this review.I hope it helped you to some degree…..thanks for reading!

Single alarm, only useful for dark room projection
The good: long micro usb cord big display lightweightThe bad: projected time can only be seen in a completely dark room single alarm only

At last–a travel-sized alarm clock that projects time on the ceiling!
So far, I’m happy with this little travel clock. It’s compact and lightweight, appears well-made and sturdy, and it slips into your luggage with ease. The projection feature works extremely well, once you figure out that you have to set it to project and you remember that if it’s not connected to a USB power source, it won’t display until you press the button (and then it will only be visible for a few seconds). Still, sometimes that’s all you need. The projected numbers are bright and clearly-focused enough to be seen easily in a dark room, though it does have to be pretty dark for them to show up well. I found the clock fairly easy to set up, with directions that were sufficiently understandable–an increasing rarity in a time where most instructions, if provided at all, are either poorly translated into English, or consist of a few fuzzy diagrams. There’s a nice micro USB charging cable included–but if you lose it (as I’m prone to do) or it stops working (as they’re prone to do), you can easily replace it with any standard micro cable. My only actual concern is that the base of the clock, which folds around to cover the face (where the control buttons are) and form a travel case, fits so snugly that it’s quite difficult for my arthritic fingers to open it. I worry that when I’m away from home, I might be unable to open this “case,” meaning the clock will be unusable for me, or conversely, that in my struggles to open it, I might inadvertently break the base/cover. I guess time will tell…(pun intended).Overall, though, it’s pretty difficult to find a small travel clock that projects the time, or a projection clock that’s small and portable enough for travel, depending on how you look at it. This clock by LaCrosse Technology is the first one I’ve found that–so far–seems to provide both portability and projection in one nice package.

Excelente articulo.

Love this alarm clock. We have two and use them at home as well as for travel. I prefer to turn my phone off at night. The incremental sound is really loud. Useful for heavy sleepers. Wish it had an option to turn the initial alarm sound down a notch though. Really like the feature to keep it showing on the ceiling but turning off the clock face (when it’s plugged in).

bought this clock to take on a cruise. Used the ceiling projection the entire time, as I kept it plugged in to power source. Worked great
