Very popular with my K-5 students
I brought this to my after-school program because one of the kids LOVES paper airplanes and I thought this would be a good reward. Well, now I have a whole group of kids (mainly boys) who want to learn or ask me to fold planes for them. This is a great starter and Iâve had quite a few kids ask their parents to buy them this book. The instructions a pretty clear. Sometimes paper folding can be confusing, but if you take the time to understand the symbols in the directions at the beginning of the book itâs pretty easy. The front cover of the book is heavy and durable. The back of the book is cardboard and has an inner sleeve to store paper! It comes with some nice quality, patterned paper that is easy to fold. Some of the more intricate plans with lots of folds may need help from an adult, but for the most part kids can do this on their own.If you are looking for a great starter book this is a great deal! Itâs got everything you need to get started and is durable enough to last a long time.

Son loves it!
Got this for my sons 10th birthday .Thick stock paper. Very cool how the book shows how far it will go depending on angle and force of throw. It’s more in depth than I thought. Great gift for the right kid!

Get this! You won’t regret it!
I got this for my boys for Christmas because they love building paper airplanes. I was not prepared for how awesome this book is! From the table of contents WITH PICTURES to the jokes added within the instructions. Very easy to follow and have zero regrets! Even came with cool paper, which I wasn’t expecting.

This book was a hit for all ages!
I purchased this book as a gift for a six and ten year old. It entertained them for hours! The adults also got very involved with making all the airplanes and it became a big competition of making them and launching them off the back deck. Fun for all ages!

Kids love them. Gave one away as a birthday present and gave one to a son, both are still making plans weeks later.

This was bought as a present for another child a year after my own received it as a birthday present. I first thought “meh” about it but I don’t think anything else they got that year was used as much as this! Perfect for kids aged 4-8 (though you will have to help them build the planes)! The paper provided is colourful, the instructions are easy to follow. Made on for a co-worker and we had great distance/height through our open concept office. Hours of fun.
Amazon Customer –
Excellent book and great planes. Each one flies and the book itself is very well written.

Hunting through Amazon for suitable presents for my 10 yr old daughter and 8 yr old son, I encountered Klutz for the first time. I was struck by how positive the reviews were – in fact nobody seemed to have a bad word to write about their products. I was a little suspicious at first. Were Klutz employees writing these reviews driven the reward of extra large chocolate buns in the Klutz canteen or even large bonuses?! Amazon reviews can be a bit like Trip Advisor with some people feeling the power of the keyboard and awarding one star just to spoil a product’s record! I decided to put some of their products to the test and bought 6 Klutz books for my children. The Klutz book of Paper Airplanes gives detailed instructions for 10 designs. Each design is graded 1-5 stars depending on how difficult it is to construct. You get 40 sheets of coloured paper at the back of the book to make the planes with. You could, when this runs out use other appropriately sized paper. The instructions are really clear and well written. Interspersed with these are information on the theory and mechanics of flying the planes and trouble shooting tips. Many of these planes can be flown inside or outside. However, Sheffield in winter does not offer many suitable venues. My children developed this game where they would take it in turns to bend over and challenge the other one to hit his or her bottom from the other side of the living room. We have also taken 2 to church and, when most of the congregation has left, launched them from the balcony. One narrowly missed a still lit candle and today one flew nearly to the front of the church. My wife is deeply embarrassed but the minister does say it is the best church in the world and we haven’t got into trouble yet!!As a Dad, I have loved this book. It is great fun, beautifully laid out and all the designs work. My son likes it too. It is the sort of book you want to keep and hopefully my son will revisit in the coming years as he gets older.
