This clock grew on me
My first impression of this clock was that it is a bit junky, but I gave it some time and came to love it. I got this for my 77 year old mom who said she needed a clock she could read and wanted something projected on the wall. What I love most:* It’s very lightweight and compact — would be great for traveling.* It is very easy to read – large display is bright (but dimmable if you prefer less light).* Projection display works well (more about that below).* Has USB charging area for my mom’s phone.Things to consider:* There is a focus dial for the projection light. I completely missed this when I first set the clock up. I thought the display was terribly blurry. Once I got the display in focus, my mom noticed the display on the wall. It’s a bit of a distance (see photo – blue circle) but it works.* There is an alarm and a nightlight – neither of which my mom will use because she won’t be able to figure out how to turn them off.* You can flip the projection display on the wall, if needed, and can rotate to display in front or behind the clock display, but cannot rotate to left or right of clock display.Overall, we are very happy with this clock. It will do everything my mother asked for!

Pretty Good Projection Clock
We have a projection clock in one bedroom and thought it would be nice to have another projection clock in a different bedroom. This projection clock is nice but has a few missing things that our other clock (which was at the same price point) has and so there is a disappointment.First the positives. The digits on this clock are very clear and easy to read; both the face display and the projection display. Also the face display and the projection display each have their own separate 5 levels of brightness that can be adjusted and either display can be set to off which is a nice option. The projection display focus knob has good range which will work nicely for low or high ceilings and near or far walls. The clock is thin and looks nice. The function/setting buttons on the back are clearly labeled to their purpose. It has a battery backup to retain the time if the power goes out and will also provide backup power to insure a set alarm will sound. There is a USB-A plug available on the back to charge a phone. The time display can be set to either AM/PM or 24hour time format. Finally the color changing nightlight bar on top is a nice addition but a bit too bright for me so I wonât be using it.Now the disappointments. The clockâs projected time orientation can be only set to straight, flipped, or off. The problem is the projected time cannot be rotated. This lack of rotation is fine when the clock is placed on a headboard above your head but if you have the clock on a nightstand facing the bed the projected time will be parallel to the person in bed. Looking up at the time on the ceiling, it will not be orientated for easy reading. If still on a nightstand and turned to project the time horizontally on a wall, you will not be able to see the face of the clock.Second, there is no time syncing to one of the three NIST Time & Frequency Service broadcast stations. These stations are located in Boulder Colorado, LaCrosse Wisconsin, and Gaithersburg Maryland. They are updated every 10 minutes and one of these stations can be reached from most parts of the continental United States. We have three other clocks in the house that sync time to one of these stations and they cost about the same. So since the sync function is missing, the time displayed on the clock will eventually drift. The power adapter wire plugs into a USB-C port on the back of the clock but directly into the port at a right angle to the clockâs back. So, you cannot push the clock back against a wall since you need about an inch for the USB-C plug. Finally, since it is not possible to enter the year, month, day, and time zone (UTC difference), daylight savings time will need to be manually adjusted in November and March. So basically you need to reset the time on this clock twice a year.I like the clock with its display, brightness settings, and projection. I love the blue color. But – I can only give it a 4 star rating because of these missing functions.

Large easy-to-see display, projects on ceiling, 5 levels of brightness
This projection clock is a major upgrade to my previous little bedside alarm clock. Itâs so amazing to be able to open one eye while sleeping and see the time right there projected on the ceiling â without even having to move my head! The brightness of both the projection and the clock can be adjusted from dim to bright up to 5 different levels. I love being able to turn the clock down very dim at night so it doesnât add light to the room, then all the way up bright during the daytime so itâs easy to see. The large display can be seen from all the way across the room. It even has a beautiful multi-color LED stripe on top that I can turn on to add some fun to it. I love how all the buttons are in the back, so the front stays clean and classy. The buttons are labeled, too, so I can easily see which ones to use. It was very easy to set the time and to set the projection on the ceiling and adjust the location and focus. It has two alarms and I can even adjust the volume. It also has a battery backup to keep the time in case the power goes out. And what Iâve never had in a clock before: a USB charging port on the back to charge my phone right from the clock! So clever!
