Lightweight and decent size for the elder
Lightweight plastic but it feels well built. The display is readable from a fair distance. Background light and display brightness can be OFF or adjusted to different levels. I like that you can choose mode and color for plastic that makes up the body. However, you have to tap on its top where there seems to be a sensor. It is a bit difficult to use at the beginning. The buttons are Easy to press but you have to rotate the clock to see which you are pressing as these are on the back. It charges under 3 hours and lasts about 2 1/2 weeks at low light settings. I like that it has a button to turn OFF the clock. It makes it easier to prolong battery when traveling or during power outages.

Solid clock with diffused light; fully adjustable lights
This clock/light is great, not only does it have a battery but it allows a full control over the color and brightness of all parts. The diffused main light can be decently bright for a nightlight and I appreciate the analog controls over the brightness. It allows a really easy way to tune the brightness to what you want and be assured it’s always going to be at that level. The clock face is large and informative. Over several weeks it still seems accurate. There’s a soft white light that allows you to illuminate during the night which is again fully adjustable. You can go as dark (off) to bright as you want within reason. It’s not going to shine like the main light but does a perfect job at giving visibility in the middle of the night. This is again an analog control, on the back, so it’s going to stay put no matter what. The only quirk is the tap feature on the top, a bit finnicky at first but does get the job done when learning how it works and where to tap. The difficulty is this tap bar is either touch sensitive or shock sensitive to see the tap, there’s no physical button.

Nicely made
My wife likes to have a larger clock as well as a nightlight when she travels. This one fits the bill. It’s nice that the colors can be changed and the wakeup soundsIt took us a little bit to set it up as the instructions were not very clear at times, but we quickly got the hang of it.

Disappointing
First of all, this thing is huge. The listing photo gives the height and width measurements but fails to state the depth. Looking again at the listing, it does give all three dimensions buried in some long text (I’m not sure if it was there when I ordered) but it slightly underestimates the measurements. This clock is big and boxy and awkward to deal with. I was hoping for a travel clock and this one is bigger than is practical. The other issue is that the buttons are poorly designed. You can’t actually see which button you are pushing and see the front of the clock at the same time. This makes adjusting things really hard. There are five buttons all in a row back there and they go off at the slightest touch. It took me multiple tries to adjust the time because holding the time button in doesn’t usually work.Because the buttons are so sensitive, I found myself constantly turning on the music. There is no way to turn it off! You can push the alarm button but this turns the alarm on and then you have to hold the alarm button down to turn the alarm off. All while trying really hard not to hit the + or – buttons because that’s what turned the music on in the first place. There are two manuals. A folding paper with several pages of instruction and a cheat sheet with a front and a back. Neither of them mentions the music at all. There appears to be no way to adjust it. Even with my accidentally turning it on about ten times over the course of my attempting to set the date and time and also when putting it away in the box, it never once played a different tune. The listing claims there are eight different alarm sounds. One page of the manual is a QR code for a setup video. If a travel clock requires a setup video, something is really wrong.

Great Alternative to Plug In Alarm Clocks
The Reacher alarm clock has a modern look and feel to it, but it also reminds me of a retro alarm clock in some ways, specifically because it’s not a phone and is has digital indiglo like controllable lighting. The alarm clock works and functions as it should. To me, it is average sized. I have older Sony alarm clocks that are very similar in size. This alarm clock’s buttons are based on the back, but they are easy to use if reading the manual and trying them out for yourself. The audible and lighting dial are two features which I really like. I also really like the fact that you can pick and choose different sounds for your alarm clock. Overall, this is a good alarm clock to use for yourself or to give as a gift. It will make retro alarm clock fans and those in need of something else to use for an alarm besides a phone. It works well and it is very efficient in its design and function.

Didn’t last 2 months…
I loved this clock because it’s the perfect size and had all the features wanted to have in the bathroom. Was happy it had a rechargeable battery too.Well…it’s didn’t event last 2 months before the rechargeable battery started to give out after 2 days after being fully charged. It was able to last on the first charge for almost a month. Now the display goes out after 2 days of having been charged. Totally disappointing and can’t even return because Amazon only allowed 30 days.
