Provides everything need it to do & more
Researched over 100 alarms trying to find one with all features looking for, and finally found the answer. This provides all necessary alarm clock functions and has some numerous convenience features for the price. The most important capability provided is the dual alarm, since with my old alarm had a tendency to turn it off before ready to get out of bed and then ended up frequently oversleeping, making me late for work. Very easy to set one or both alarms, and also easy to turn off/on each independently. Can’t comprehend some of the whining complaints here about some peculiarities, such as the clock beeping twice after the alarm is set, or it not being loud enough, or the light being too bright even at lowest setting. If you have a significant other sleeping at a different time of the day than you, then whoever goes to bed first sets both alarms, so the person going to bed later doesn’t even need to set the alarm and wake the other who went to bed earlier. Is that so difficult a concept to grasp? Also if the alarm volume on the back is set to loud, it seems to be plenty loud. I like that it starts off soft and gradually gets louder, rather than so many others that start off immediately at maximum volume, and the highest volume is plenty annoying to slowly wake me up without that instant jolt out of bed like others. The brightness can be adjusted between normal, low and off. Even as light sleeper the low is definitely not too bright.Battery backup is a must-have feature for me since we have periodic power outages, and this goes on trips so no need to program the time or alarms at the destination or when return home, even while disconnected from an outlet for hours at a time.Nice feature is the alarm reset button, to turn off the alarm and reset for the following day. More whining in reviews about too many buttons on the top so their gorilla hands in the dark couldn’t find which button was the reset. Hint: when the clock is facing you it is the button at the back on the furthest to the left, and it doesn’t matter if there are 6 buttons on the top at the back (which there are) or 16 or 26-hit the button furthest to the left at the back. I can’t believe some people complaining they couldn’t find the snooze button. It is the front button on top that goes across the top of the alarm clock, very easy to find, since it is the button closest to you and it spans almost the entire width of the top.Another nice feature you won’t find on many alarm clocks is the snooze time adjust from between 1 to 29 minutes if you don’t want the default 8 minutes, up to one hour total snooze. If you want to snooze past one hour, do what I do and set one alarm, then set the second alarm to go off sometime after the first alarm’s one hour block of time is up.The nap timer can be used for up to 90 min if you don’t want to change your two daily alarm settings. So far very pleased with the product, hope it will last, considering how much time it took me to narrow down my choices.

Great Alarm Clock
Keeps time, display brightness is adjustable, options to wake up with – radio or increasing beep (might just buzz or beep too but I haven’t investigated that option). I like to wake slowly – not with a blaring sudden buzz nor radio playing. This starts out softly and gradually increases in volume until you press snooze or turn it off. Decent level even for hard sleepers. I used to have an atomic one that set itself when daylight saving time changes happened. Couldn’t find one like I had but this has a handy button on the back that flips for +/- 1 hours for quick setting changes when time changes. Charging USB is great for tablets, phones, or fitbit or whatever needs USB charging. It also has a battery backup in case of power outages and comes back online with the correct time – the alarm will even sound too if it’s on battery. Gentle on the battery too. We just replaced our original battery after almost 7 years. We purchased 3 of this model in March, 2016 for our sons and self. One of our son’s started having issues with the alarm not sounding – probably after bouncing it off the floor a time or two :). The other 2 units are still working great. With all the other choices out there, our son placed this on his Christmas wish list to replace the one he had. Timex still takes a licking and keeps on ticking… just like the old commercials used to say. I would definitely recommend this alarm clock.

Nice alarm clock with dual usb chargers
First I must admit that I am not an a fan of using my smart phone as an alarm clock and as long as I live, I will probably have a standard alarm clock because I believe that like shaving in the morning, a man needs a good alarm clock. When I replaced my last alarm clock, I wanted an alarm clock with all the features that I liked on my dream machine, and had USB chargers on it so that iphone will charge. This thing was a nice fit for me and here are the reasons that I gave it the 4 star review that I did.Why it didn’t get a 5 star review:No Atomic Clock: I thought that the Redi-set feature meant that it is an atomic clock and therefore syncs with the time in Colorado. I am actually not convinced that it is not, but I have tried to setup the thing in many places in my house and outside, it never synced with the NIST radio time. I don’t understand why a clock that has a toggle for DST and Timezone is not atomic That is just weird to me.No music or radio: In the morning when I had my dream machine, I used to wake up listening to news/talk radio, this alarm does not have that feature. Also I cannot setup my phone to play music though it since it doesn’t have speakers. Saying that though, I have my iphone as a backup alarm that plays pandora when I wake up. So although the alarm doesn’t have speakers, I am still able to listen to music in the morning.Bigger than necessary: I wish it was smaller. On my nightstand, I like to have room for a book, my alarm, my iphone, a lamp, and a box of tissues. I must say that it all doesn’t fit so I have moved the tissues to the window, I think that it could have been a more compact clock and still have the features that it has.Why it got a 4 star review:USB Chargers: Honestly this feature alone was enough for me to buy the clock. At night, I plugin my Iphone and bluetooth headset and by morning, both are charged to 100%. I also can charge my ipad, but only charges it to about 70% by the morning, so it is not really used for that. Also since my phone is my backup alarm clock and emergency phone, I will not have fumble for it at night and it will have power if it is needed.Dual Alarm Clock: The other main feature I bought this clock for was the dual alarm feature. Some mornings I have to get up at 5am and some mornings at 6am. This clock allows me to quickly set alarm 1 or alarm 2 or both. it took some practice to get used to how it worked and I overslept a couple of times at first, but I got it now and it is not an issue any longer.Accuracy: Although it is not atomic, which I prefer, it is pretty accurate. I would say that it is accurate to within 15 seconds a month. To compensate for the fact that it is not atomic, II set the clock about 3 minutes fast and it is still fast today by about 3 minutes.Battery Backup: A few times the battery backup has successfully saved me. If there is a power outage, it keeps the time so that the alarm will go off on time and when I got it I tested to make sure that the alarm would go off during a power outage, and it does. So as long as the alarm is set before going to bed, it will go off in the morning. Also the batteries that it takes is AA, not a 9v, which I prefer.Rediset Features: For me, I only want to update my clocks when the time changes, With this feature, I can just change the toggle switch in the back and I am done. Also there is a convenient timezone hack that is nice if you travel with your alarm clock. Although I don’t travel with an alarm clock, if I did, I could just change the timezone to where I am an the alarm would work as though I am at home.+/- Time Change Button: When I set the time, it usually is 1-10 minute changes, and it is normally to change it to an earlier time, not later. Although this is a normal thing thing with many clocks today, it was not a feature on my dream machine. Personally I don’t like to have to go through all 3000 minutes of the day to set my alarm to an accurate time and if I need to make a big change it skips when you hold the button down so it makes it really fast to set your alarm when you need to.Dimable Clock without blinking LEDs: I don’t like it when an alarm is blinking at night and is bright enough to light up my room. I can dim the clock to the level that I like.Nap Feature: I really don’t use the nap feature that often, but it is nice when I have international calls of if my son is out on a date. In that case, I don’t have to set a new alarm for it, I can just set the nap time for 90 minutes and get on the call or check to see if he is home. It is very rare that I use it, but it is nice.

This is the best alarm I’ve ever had. The brightness, the daylight savings button and especially the alarm that starts out very low and increases with time. I love it so much I wanted to order another one and could not find it anymore :(It also has a second alarm and a nap function that I’ve used a few time, it’s wonderful.

Really nice and simple to setup and use. If you don’t want a clock with all the usual add ons ( radio, iPod doc etc) then this is the clock for you.
