Big enough to read without glasses and easy to operate
Read the instructionsIt’s not intuitive, but it’s really easy to use.To turn the radio off, hold the button until it goes off. Otherwise you just keep toggling between AM, FM and AUX.The same button that is the snooze dims the display. The dimmed light for the time display is exactly bright enough to see, but not bright enough to light up the room.Exactly what I was looking for.

This device has a design flaw
This clock radio has a nice big display. The controls are little hard to use (every button does at least two different things) but not *too* bad (except as discussed below). However, it gets one star because it has an unacceptable design flaw. If you set the alarm to “radio” instead of “buzzer”, sometimes the buzzer goes off anyway. To reproduce:Set an alarm and set it to “radio”, rather than “buzzer”.Listen to audio using an external device (aux) (rather than AM or FM).Turn off the audio and wait for the alarm to go off.Expected behavior:The radio turns on.Actual behavior:The buzzer sounds. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that the power button does double duty as the audio select button. After turning audio on, the same button is used to select between AM/FM/AUX. To truly turn audio off, you have to hold down the power button for two seconds. They were just too cheap to include one extra button for these two different functions. Since the aux functionality is pretty pointless (the speaker on this device is small and most likely not any better than your phone’s speakers anyway), aux mode is indistinguishable from truly being off, and many users will just end up doing the natural thing to turn off audio (pressing the power button without holding it down), and which actually puts the audio on aux. Which then later triggers the incorrect alarm behavior when the alarm goes off.Absolutely do not buy this if you expect the radio alarm to function properly. This device should be removed from stores and not sold again until this is fixed.

Nice product! Pretty much what was pictured and described online.
Very small product with a nice display screen and decent sound quality. The controls are wll marked and easy to use with one exception. The exception has to do with switching from AM to FM. That is done with the on/off button. The initial tap of the on/off button turns the radio on, short taps of the button then switch the radio from AM to FM, and a long press turns the radio off. The instructions come on a small piece of paper and are printed in a very small font. I had a difficult time presetting radio stations based on the instructions but that could have been operator error. I’m vey happy with the product overall.

Itâs easy to use and works great!
This is to replace my previous Timex digital alarm clock radio. I had my previous clock for many years! It was worn out. The only thing that I donât like as well, is it is very light and seems to be made more cheaply with lots of plastic parts-not as solid.

Works, but very confusing instructions
Love how large the numbers are, and that it’s dimmable. Radio works even with antenna wire mostly rolled up, tucked down wall by plug. The instructions are written ridiculously small (had to use camera on phone to enlarge enough to see) and not clear at all. It took a lot of trial and error just to figure out how to turn the alarm off for the weekend (keep pressing alarm button to scroll thru options until alarm light turns off) Still haven’t figured out “2nd alarm” for different days as stated in description, but not a deal breaker. They’ve been making radio alarm clocks for many decades, + they were always very easy to use – they haven’t made them better, just more complicated… Timex : if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Great clock radio
I bought this to replace an old Sony whose sound was becoming distorted. This is everything I hoped for in a clock radio. It has dual alarms, nice sound, and bright display. Highly recommended.

Too Quiet
Protip about reading reviews….. read the most recent ones and not the ones with the most upvotes… or the dreaded reviews where someone got the product for free. This alarm only works if you have some supersonic hearing and wake up at the drop of a pin. I had the sound cranked up all the way, but I was never awakened by this alarm. My SonicBoom backup alarm woke me up….. even though it only uses Beep/Chime. I need a loud radio to wake up consistently….. and this Timex alarm does not have a loud radio nor a loud Chime. It makes no sense for people that complain that an alarm is too loud because they can simply turn the volume down. It’s not science.I had an old Timex T715 that I bought somewhere around 10 years ago. It’s one of those Smartset alarms which uses a CR2450 coin battery. It was loud but it kept slowly falling apart. I had to jiggle the dials to make sure the alarm was set. Then last week, on 12/08/23 all of the Alarms on that T715 just gave up, but it still shows time though. My question is why can’t Timex make alarm clocks more like this, but with better dials and not designed to start falling apart after a couple of years.I would use my iphone, and I actually have an alarm set on it, but that alarm is amazingly quiet. I usually use that alarm on the weekend and maybe 34% of the time I am awaken by it. Gawd forbid there are some heavy sleepers out there that need a heavy duty alarm clock. Also, I’ve tried a few times to replace that old T715 alarm clock, but the other two alarms I bought were too quiet. I had no problems with all of the alarms I bought prior to 2012. I mean look, I understand that Alarmclocks are in less demand because people use their Smartphones, but the volume and Chimes used on most Smartphones are ineffective for heavy sleepers. Couldn’t a company make a name brand alarm that has volume settings for the wake chime, and a few different passive and aggressive wake chimes, on top of it having an option for using the Radio for the alarm.
