Great Shelf light!
I really like this light. It is perfect for what I needed. The only thing was I needed to buy a 1 foot power cord.I already knew this, so it’s acceptable. The light is extremely bright and has plenty of brightness adjustment. It was also very cheap at $8. Nobody else sells a 12″ single light strip with a long power cord.

Nice light with caveats to the supply and brightness memory.
Puts out a good amount of light. Mounted it under shelf over a little freezer and works great for when I need light to see in freezer.Power supply does get hot when light is set bright and left on. It is rated 1A. I have a 1.2A and 1.5A that also got hot and another 1.5A that only gets warm.Also, if you need it to come back on at brightness you set it for (other than full bright), it only remembers that if turned off on the switch built into the cable. A blackout or any other loss of power to that switch results in it coming on at full brightness the next time it’s used.

Great little light for small areas
I like dim ambient light but bright light for up close reading and writing. I mounted this to the top of the alcove in my desk and it shines down perfectly on what Iâm doing. I mounted another elsewhere and dim it down to use for a nightlight. My kind of invention.

These are actually pretty great for the price.
Bought these to use one as a reading light in my daughter’s new loft bed, and honestly they are pretty nice. For the price you get 2 full light assemblies with variable levels and even decent length cords. How well will they hold up? Who knows, but I would not hesitate to buy them again. The second one was promptly snatched by the son once he saw how good they were. I’m considering picking up another pair and 3D printing a custom mount for them to use as a nightstand lamp. If I look below it suggests I hit some bullet points: easy to install, magnetic with double sided tape pieces to mount. Easily adjustable light intensity via wired in-line remote. Color, uh, they are white and put out white light. Motion detection – no, they don’t do that.

Works Well
I love this little light. It works well under my desk and has different brightness options. My only wish for this is I wish I could have gotten a soft white bulb option, Iâm just not a bright white kinda person. However, still feel like it works for what I needed.

It doesn’t remember brightness level when power is cycled
My main concern, and one that prevents me from using this for the purpose I purchased it is …I dim the light to the level I want, then I power it down. When I power it up again, the light comes on at full brightness. The control seems to “remember” the power-on state, but the control does not seem to “remember” the brightness level I had set it to.I have another use for the light, which is why I gave it 3-stars instead of just one.But the light does not work for the use I purchased it for.
