Very Good Clock
I had the previous version that lasted at least 27 years. How I wish I bought 2 at the time. This one is similar, but there was nothing like the original. The knobs are bigger on top. My first one, the on and off switch broke, but I was still able to slide it. I hope this one is the same. I am trying to be careful, but with plastic, you never know. After my Original one broke for good, I had a temporary replacement that I hated. It was overly bright and did not have a Snooze button….No Snooze Button !!!….Forget it. I could not wait to get this one. It is not as Bright as the last one with no Snooze button, but I guess they are all that way now, brighter. But it is good for me because I can see the time without my glasses on. I miss the Original Alarm. This one is annoying with the different beeps, but, it gets me up eventually within 1/2 hour…does the job so far. It is well packaged with screw on feet attached to the box…amazing…I do hope it lasts a long time because it is very affordable and the last one was so reliable.

What a joke
The alarm goes off itâs like somebody whispering unless you put your ear right up to it. You canât even hear it back. It went piece of junk.

Great clock, bright but put dim strip on and perfect now.
Perfect. Too bright but easy fix. Put a dim strip on and perfect now.

Old style aesthetics without old-style robustness or industrial design
I purchased this as I wanted a small, digital clock that could be placed on a shelf and read across the room. As I only needed a basic, robust clock I wanted a old-style unit that would last. As this is a “name-brand” and appeared in the ad to match what I had in mind I got it. It’s not quite what I expected. It’s lightweight, and feels a bit flimsy. I’m not using the alarm but the switch feels cheap, the buttons are fine. It uses a AA battery and not a 9V for battery backup, and the fit of the door was poor. It is *BRIGHT*, the other reviews about that are spot-on. I noticed it humming this morning, the transformer is visible through vents on the bottom and is of clearly cheap construction.Basically this clock is value-engineered to the minimum and is not as robust as it’s ancestors. I don’t expect it to last. Way too bright for a bedroom, I even think it’s too bright for my living room. The cost is too high for this level of value-engineering.Apparently the Westclox factory burned down in 2012. Pay no attention to the name, the name you remember died over 10 years ago.

So glad somebody is still making clocks in this style!
This clock is just so cute; Iâve been picking up old models at thrift stores and yard sales but theyâve always been slightly broken, so I was excited to see someone making them new!A perfectly functional and simple to use little alarm clock. The only downside is that the numbers are extremely bright, and thereâs no dimmer switch, so I canât put it in the bedroom (which is a shame for an alarm clock). Iâll just use it elsewhere in the house, but I donât know if I can recommend it for usual alarm clock use based on that. If the brightness could be adjusted or was lower by default, it would be perfect. Iâll probably order dimmer film to put over the screen to fix that.

Retro definitely
We had one of the original versions of us and it finally broke after 30 something years of Use. This gives us the same visual effect as the other one so we are very happy.

Way too bright for a bedroom alarm clock
This clock is easily visible in bright sunlight — in fact, it’s so bright, that it isn’t something you’ll want in your bedroom — in even a moderately dark room, this clock is like a little red glow-light that is far too bright for use as a bedroom alarm clock.Yes, it’s functional and relatively easy to use. The battery back-up feature is a good hedge against power outages. But unless you need an alarm clock for some daytime use, skip this one — you won’t want something this bright in your bedroom (and the brightness is not adjustable).

Compact alarm clock
Very basic and easy to use alarm clock. Display is bright and clear. The unit is small and fits anywhere. Has a battery backup for power failures, however, during the power failure, none of the features work but all are saved and when the power returns, everything is as it should be including the time. Does not have a radio, alarm is a chirping sound.

Clock easy to use, nothing fancy to it. Bought it because I wanted a clock and needed it to fit my girlfriend aesthetic for the apartment. Itâs very good and works well.

The same make and model lasted for twenty years. The new one arrived on time but when plugged into appropriate mains facility, started to smoke and smell of burning.
Joe Caumanns –
not loud enough and no volume control
