This has been a fantastic kit! The smoker itself is incredibly sturdy and sits on a glass easily. With the top on, it pretty much seals the cup and makes sure to keep the smoke inside, allowing for a rich, smoky flavor to infuse into the drink. The assorted woods included in the kit work quite well and are even fun to mix and match to get different flavors. Experimenting with the different wood chips has added an extra layer of enjoyment to my cocktail-making process.The ice cube makers were a really nice touch. They create perfectly round ice balls that look super impressive in the glass and melt much slower than regular ice cubes, keeping my drinks colder for longer without watering them down. Bought this for my husband as a gift! He really didn’t like bourbon until friends of ours gave him a drink smoked. He enjoyed it immensely! Had to get him both the bourbon and the smoker! Love that it comes with two glasses, since he wasnât a bourbon drinker we had none. Very nice set! Performance is as expected! Easy to use! Love that itâs shaped as a whisky barrel. I love that you can try an array of different flavors! Seems to be very durable! I would recommend!

UPDATE JUNE 2024: We’ve figured out that if you keep the torch stored upright and completely turn it off after each use, the butane stays stabilized and works so much better! This is in reference to my comments about the torch under ‘Cons’ below. Upping my rating to 4 stars.I wanna start by saying it all works. The drinks we’ve created are tasty and it adds dimension to an old favorite. However, the torch is just so frustrating.1. This set doesn’t come with butane so if you’re gifting, make sure you get a can of that as well. They do mention it in the description, but please note.2. You will maybe – MAYBE – get two “flame sessions” out of the fill up. Every time I bring the set out to make a drink there’s some sort of tomfoolery to deal with when it comes to the torch. It makes it so frustrating to work with. It works but only at a total of 15 seconds before you have to fiddle with it or fill it up again.Pros:- Glasses are pretty and dishwasher safe- Wood chips seems high quality- Smoker mechanism works well and seals the smoke in nicelyCons:- Torch is frustrating to use and routinely needs “maintenance”- [In my opinion] Too many wood flavor options and not a lot of variation between them. All the fruit ones seem super similar to one anotherOverall, I think it’s a fun set but FUSSY. Knowing what we know now, I think I’d love a set that had less wood chips, no glasses (because we have a bunch of glasses), and a larger, better functioning torch.
